Michael Steele Ain't the only turkey in town

Each morning, first thing I do is put on my boots and shoe the wild turkeys out of my garden. The six foot high fence doesn't begin to keep them out. Even the small ones (they're about the size of a small hen this time of year) have no problem flying over it.

Some would consider them pests, but I really enjoy having them around. They nest in the trees in my yard.

One evening I counted 22 turkeys. Between turkeys, deer and raccons, gardening is sure a challenge.
